Located in the Woodlawn-Hyde Park community, the William Hill Gallery was founded in 2012 by William Hill, recipient of the 2010 Chicago African-American Alliance Curator Award, and is dedicated to expanding the canon of still life, nature and landscape. With an emphasis on drawing, painting, prints and sculpture, William Hill Gallery exhibits the work of renowned artists as well as emerging and mid-career artists, highlighting their postmodern strategies which challenge traditional modes of representation. William Hill Gallery continues to be a vital force in the exhibition and scholarship of international 21st century art.
